21stCCLC STEM-Rich Afterschool Making Project

The 一本道 is excited to share the news for the STEM-Rich Afterschool Making Project! This innovative project is a collaboration between the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the U.S. Department of 一本道 (ED), and science and/or children's museums in eight states to train a cohort of 21st CCLC after school educators on a six-hour STEM-rich maker curriculum. This curriculum will be implemented in fall 2019 and spring 2020 with two cohorts of students at five program sites (see below) in New York State. New York State鈥檚 participating museum is New York Hall of Science (NYSCI).听 For more information on the projects,听download this document.

Program Cycle 1: Lesson Modeling (museum site will lead the program with students while the CCLC facilitator observes and assists) November 2019 鈥 February 2020

Student/Educator Release and Intellectual Property Form

  • All parents/guardians of students must complete a Student/Educator Release and Intellectual Property Form which will confirm the rights to use images/videos taken of students and educators during the STEM-Rich Afterschool Making Project.听听Students/Educators who do not sign the form cannot be in photos/videos.听This allows the U.S. Department of 一本道, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the Museum Partners to use/share the video with the public. Once all parties have signed the forms, please scan and send to听Y4YIMLS@seiservices.com.听
  • Due Date:听As soon as possible, or before project is complete. All scanned forms will be added to a password-protected database in which access will only be granted to the U.S. Department of 一本道, IMLS and the Museum Partners.听听IMPORTANT:听Please keep ALL RELEASE FORMS in a safe place until further notice.

This includes a variety of materials to help you communicate about your program, the 21st CCLC initiative, ED鈥檚 collaboration with IMLS, and the importance of providing all students with opportunities for meaningful STEM experiences.   • An introduction that describes each of the templates and offers recommendations for their use
  • A general fact sheet
  • Frequently asked questions (FAQ) and answers
